Displaying sub-pages differently

How to display sub-pages without having them shown under the "Pages" section on the sidebar? For example if I create a main page "Events" on my WP and two other sub-pages "event 1" and "event 2" under the "Events" page as the parent page. Once I have published all three pages, I can only click to view the two sub-pages by clicking them under the "Pages" section on the sidebar. However, I am thinking of removing the sidebar. Hence, I would like to have the two sub-pages displaying as a dropdown list when I click "Events" on the top of the page on my WP. Is it possible? Any suggesetion will be great! :D

Use a different them or plugin?
