For a novice webmaster, we would suggest WordPress because of its "What You See Is What You Get" (WYSIWYG) feature. But if a webmaster is more familiar with building website with html codes, we would suggest Drupal.
Please have a look at this blog post.

I 2nd Ghados, Wordpress is much easier to use.
Drupal is generally for developers who know how to use codes... If you're not into coding then stick with Wordpress, or even Joomla.

Well, there are huge differences between WordPress and Drupal. On very basic level Drupal is a hardcore high end content management system and WordPress is more of a blogging platform. However, WP also evolved as a CMS these days but mainly works well for small business related websites. There is no doubt that both these platforms are awesome and you can choose any as per your needs.

Download Drupal Templates (http://nullednet.com/category/drupal-templates/).
Whatever option you will choose you will get something different than the other.

WordPress
WordPress is an online, open source website creation tool written in PHP. But in non-geek speak, it's probably the easiest and most powerful blogging and website content management system (or CMS) in existence today.
Drupal
Drupal is a free, open-source web development platform for online content and user communities. Drupal powers some of the busiest sites on the web, and can be adapted to virtually any visual design.
