domain expired but charged anyway
« on: July 26, 2010, 07:17:01 PM »
I let the domain name for my old band expire because the band no longer exists. It expired back in May, but today I have a charge on my card for $23 and change. I checked online, and my domain name is still expired, so I don't really know why I got charged money. Why did I get charge/how can I get a refund?

domain registrations & hosting are separate services.  As such, when a domain expires, the hosting services do not automatically terminate.

If you had been previously subscribed to our Free basic hosting plan & let the domain expire, your account will no longer qualify for free hosting.  The hosting services will continue on our regular basic plan which is US$1.95  per month (US$23.40 / yr) until you contact DotEasy support to terminate the hosting.

If you need to terminate your hosting services, you can submit a case ticket: https://www.doteasy.com/ContactUs/SMS3/

A representative will reply to your case & provide the refund options for your account.
