renew letter

I have a website and online it says that it does not expire until April '11, but I got a letter in the mail telling me to renew. Why do I need to send a check to renew if my domain name doesn't expire until next April?

Doteasy never mail letters to our customers for domain renewal. We will only send email notices to your organization or administrative contact email address.
