domain locking?

I have not subscribed to the Doteasy domain locking but my WHOIS record shows the domain is locked

Why is this?

All domains that are registered with Doteasy are locked by default to prevent unauthorized domain transfers.

The Doteasy domain locking is an add on service you can subscribed to with your domain registration which will allow you to unlock your domain from your member zone without having to contact our support team.
