updating mx records to send emails to gmail
« on: October 18, 2010, 02:50:58 PM »
i have updated the mx records in cpanel to route my emails to a remote mail exchanger (gmail). gmail says that it will take 24-48 hours to update but it has been 48 hours since i set it up and it still isn't working. have i done something wrong? is there something i am overlooking? thanks for your help.

emails sent to my email respond:

69.161.143.61 does not like recipient.
Remote host said: 550-smtp101-mob.biz.mail.ac4.yahoo.com [76.13.13.222] is currently not
550-permitted to relay through this server. Perhaps you have not logged into
550-the pop/imap server in the last 30 minutes or do not have SMTP
550 Authentication turned on in your email client.
Giving up on 69.161.143.61

I checked your MX records and they are already pointing to Google.com.
You don't need to do anything in your cpanel as your email services should be handled by Google.com now.
If you still run into problem, please feel free to send us a support ticket. Thanks.
