To setup your e-mail account with Thunderbird, please simply follow this tutorial.

That tutorial is uselessly outdated, you really need to update it.  The settings in Thunderbird 3.x are very different.

This may help fill in the blanks :

Require logon using SPA: disabled
My server requires authentication: enabled
Connection security (SSL): Disabled for both incoming and outgoing
Incoming server port: 110
Outgoing server port: 25 (if that doesn't work, try port 587)

For those of you with Horde mail servers, if the default mail.xxxx.com mail server is not working, you can try your other mail server settings. Where xxxx means your domain name.

You can find them in Member Zone under 'Setup Instructions' and will look similar to:

For secure POP and SMTP access:
Incoming (POP3) Server (SSL): dpwebcpxxxx.doteasy.com
Incoming  (POP3) Server Port:  995
Outgoing (SMTP) Server (SSL): dpwebcpxxxx.doteasy.com
Outgoing (SMTP) Server Port: 465
(you must enable SMTP authentication)
And SSL must be enabled.

Neither of the above are correct, nor is the "Cpanelx" auto-config info! So, using my TB 3.1.10 I have the following settings. Can someone please verify and show the correct ones?

Outgoing (Secure):

Server Name = dpwebcp129.doteasy.com - or - (if domain is "dummy.com") dpwebcpdummy.doteasy.com ??
Port = 465
Connection Security = SSL/TLS ??
Authentication Method = Normal Password - or - Encrypted Password ??
User Name =  (MORON = user name) MORON - or - MORON.dummy.com ??

Outgoing (Non-Secure):
Server Name = mail.dummy.com ??
Port = 25
User Name  -  SEE ABOVE
Connection Security - None ??
Authentication Method = Password, transmitted insecurely - or - Encrypted Password ??

Incoming (Secure):
Server Type is fixed as POP Mail Server
Server Name  -  SEE ABOVE
Port = 995 ??
User Name  -  SEE ABOVE
Connection Security = SSL/TLS ??

Incoming (Non-Secure):
Server Type is fixed as POP Mail Server
Server Name  =  mail.dummy.com ??
Port = 110 ??
User Name  -  SEE ABOVE
Connection Security = None ??

Thank you!
