I accidentally signed up my domain with the wrong domain registrar last week...is there any way to transfer to Doteasy now?
-
unfortunately no you will need to wait 60 days before doing so. according to ICANN,
http://www.icann.org/en/transfers/dnholder-faq-03nov04.htm
new domain registration that are within 60 days can be refused to be transfered.

Thanks for the sharing amazing link with us...
-
you need to unlock domain, get auth code, then confirm with the transfer email with the auth code.
process takes like 5days.
-
One other thing to consider when transferring a domain is to make sure WHOIS privacy is disabled. This will ensure that you receive the transfer confirmation email.
-
And how do I disable WHOIS privacy?
-
Contact your current domain registrar and have them disable it for you.
-
So is my current domain registar? Who that? Doteasy? How do I know who my registrar is? I think it Two Cows, i forgot..
-
Do a WHOIS lookup through the following link:
http://www.whois.net/ (http://www.whois.net/)
-
My domain says In2Net, who is that?

In2net = Doteasy

If the email on my whois record is no longer active, can I ask them to send the transfer confirmation email to my new email?
-
yes you should be able to have your registrar update the email on the whois record if its wrong
-
the transfer email can only be sent to the admin contact for that domain... so it cant be sent to another email address.. but like ghados said, you can contact your registrar to update the email address and then have the transfer email resent.
-
Note thought that when changing any contact information (including email) on your domain, many registrars, including Doteasy will LOCK the domain name for 60 days and you will be unable to transfer due to fraud prevention purposes.

do you know if that rule is from ICANN or from other registrars??
